The Sauvignon Selection by CMB is part of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles competitions organized by the Belgian company Vinopres.
The aim of this international competition is to promote Sauvignon Blanc wines from both hemispheres, to stimulate production and conscious consumption and to familiarize the public with the wide range of wines on offer.
The Concours Mondial du Sauvignon is more than just a competition between producers and appellations. Above all, it aims to promote dialog and create a meeting place for professionals in the sector. The CMB seal guarantees consumers high wine quality and can be used by wine producers as a communication tool. In all competitions, the wines are tasted blind by a qualified international jury and less than 30% of the wines submitted are awarded medals.
To ensure precise evaluation of the tasting data, the CMB team works closely with the Statistical Institute of the University of Louvain. Artificial intelligence is used to analyze the comments and data of the individual jurors, and individual aroma profiles are created for each wine.
